SUSAN BRAZELL – Commercial Service Team Member. After 7 years in the banking business, Susan became our receptionist in 2001, then moved into our commercial insurance department in 2002. Susan became licensed in 2004 as a customer service representative, and received her Life license in 2008.
TERESA CAIN, ACSR, CIC – Producer and Marketing Manager. Teresa has been with Mims & Smith since 2000 and had over ten years insurance experience prior to that. Teresa writes new business, manages several large accounts, and helps the rest of the sales staff as marketing assistant.
MELODY CANO, – Melody may be one of the sweet voices you hear when you call in, but she is now devoted primarily to accounting on a part-time basis. She has been part of our Administrative Department since 2007 and is a great asset to our team!
KELLY CHILDERS, ACSR – Customer Service Representative. From receptionist in 1998, to Personal Lines Customer Service Representative for 5 years, Kelly moved into our commercial insurance department in December 2004, and in 2011 has moved into a new Personal Lines Customer Service Representative/Claims position! She is versatile, flexible and a great team player!
ANN FROST – Agency Manager. Ann manages our office with an amazing amount of patience and commitment! She is responsible for administrative and accounting functions in our agency and usually manages at least 2 employees in her department. Ann joined us in 1999 and is key to our day-to-day operations!
KATEY HOWARD – Commercial Customer Service Representative. Katey Howard came to us as Katey Casey in 2009, and we have initiated her in each department of the agency! She is now a licensed Customer Service Representative to our business clients.
BECKY NALL, ACSR CIC – Commercial Account Manager. Becky came on board in 2002 as our receptionist and accounting assistant. She has been quick to learn and advance and now manages our churches, non-profit organizations, and large property accounts. She earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2011.
SHERRY PHILLIPS, ACSR, CISR, CIC – Account Manager. Sherry has been servicing our personal customers since she came on board in 1994. Along with providing leadership to her department, she handles the research, and manages our select client accounts. She has recently earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation.
KYLEE PIRTLE, CIC – Kylee joined the Commercial Department in January, 2011. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana State University with a Bachelors degree in Insurance and Risk Management. Upon graduation, Kylee worked as an Excess and Surplus Lines broker helping find insurance placement for high risk clients before joining our firm. Kylee is licensed, holds her Associates in Surplus Lines and has earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation. She handles many of our oil and gas accounts and is excited about helping you with your insurance needs.
CHRISSIE ROBINSON – Joined our staff as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant in 2011.
LESA SANCHEZ, ACSR – Commercial Customer Service Representative. Lesa joined us in 1997, moved and came back, and now services a small book of business and supports the rest of the department as a Service Team member.
BRENDA SMITH, CIC, CRM – President. She had 16 years experience before joining the agency in 1989. She became a partner in 1999, and now is the sole owner of Mims & Smith. In addition to management, she produces new business and manages several large accounts. She is a Certified Risk Manager and Certified Insurance Counselor.
SAN SMITH, CIC – Sales. He joined us in 1994 with 6 years experience, and is key to the growth of our agency. He produces new business, manages a number of large accounts, and leads the Sales Department.
ELYSE STRICKLEN, PLCS – Elyse began her insurance career with us in January of 2006. She attended training in Hartford, Connecticut and earned her Personal Lines Customer Service designation. Elyse is an Account Manager for our personal insurance clients.
TAMMY TARIN, CISR CIC – Commercial Account Manager / Sales. Tammy joined our team in November of 2003. With over 11 years experience, she services many of our oil & gas accounts. She is a Certified Insurance Service Representative and a Certified Insurance Counselor. She produces new business in addition to her other duties.
TERI WADE – Commercial Account Manager. Teri came on board in 2010 here in Midland. In 2011, she moved with her husband, but we couldn't let her go so she works remotely for us. She had over 12 years insurance experience prior to moving to Midland. In 2011 she got her insurance adjustor's license, and is now handling claims calls as well as managing accounts.
BEA WILLIAMS, ACSR, CISR – Since 1986, Bea has served our business and personal clients and has been our Claims Manager for many years. With a background in insurance since 1976, she was a insurance company adjustor with Hartford before coming to the agency side of the industry. After 25 years with Mims & Smith, Bea semi-retired in July of 2011, but continues to handle claims from her home Tuesday - Thursday!
LACRISHA WYNNE, ACSR, CISR, CIC – Commercial Account Manager. After one year with another agency, she came to Mims & Smith in 1993 as a commercial insurance assistant. She moved to Personal Lines, earned her ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative) designation and is now back in Commercial Lines, handling many of our oil & gas accounts and leading the department. She has earned several designations and is a Certified Insurance Counselor.
